The Sun News,
Letter to the Editor,
P.O. Box 406,
Myrtle Beach, SC 29578

Dear Editor in Chief,
I am writing to you about the controversy between college athletes receiving payment. I feel college athletes should receive pay. I was brought to this outgoing argument when it was being debated on national TV. Everyone on the opposing side felt college athletes should not complain about pay when they are given a free college education. People failed to realize athletes have things they really need, but they cannot afford because they have no money. Things such as food, clothing, and water are not included in that free college education. Being so busy with sports, athletes have little time to find a real job.
There should be no excuse why college athletes shouldn’t receive pay. They put their bodies at risk for nothing but a “congrats” after the game. Give them a free education, but also something extra they can actually live on.

      Sincerely,                                                                                                                                                                                                      TaJay Williams
